During my recent stay at the MainStay Suites Columbus Worthington, I was faced with a rather unsettling experience that detracted significantly from my visit. Despite the location’s convenient proximity to attractions like the Polaris Fashion Mall and outdoor parks, my excitement quickly faded. Upon arrival, I could immediately sense that the general cleanliness of the surroundings was far from satisfactory, with stains visible on the couch and a distinct lack of upkeep throughout the hotel. While the comfortable bed and good water pressure in the shower provided some solace, the overall ambiance was marred by the noise and unsavory activities occurring outside. It was disheartening to witness people congregating nearby in a way that felt unsafe, overshadowing the hotel’s modest amenities like the free high-speed internet and outdoor barbecue area which could have been highlights of my stay. Regrettably, as a photographer drawn to inviting and visually pleasing environments, I found little to inspire me here. My sisters, who had planned to join me, ultimately decided against staying due to the inadequate conditions. While I hoped to enjoy a pleasant holiday, it is an experience I would not wish to repeat. For those seeking a delightful retreat, it may be wise to explore other accommodations that better match the charm and artistry I often seek in my travels.
